Thank you so much for stopping by and seeing all we have to offer! At four leaf clover our goal is to provide insightful thoughts, poems and essays as well as offering a wide range of services that will fit all of your freelance writing needs.
I hope you will take some time and read through the essays and post comments on your likes, don’t likes, feelings and concerns. We offer these thoughts, essays and services in no particular order and think of them instead as conversation starters. I hope you will pour yourself a cup of tea, sit down, relax a bit, breathe a bit…take the time to unwind and let yourself think, and not think, a bit.
I have found much guidance from my past jobs (some of which include waitress, nutritionist, teacher, grant writer, sales person and operating room technician) and from the various people I come in contact with each and every day. I have learned to slow down, take note and listen. Everything I have done appears on these pages, in one way or another, and everyone I have ever met has helped to sculpt my words (for good or bad.)
I hope you will allow yourself a moment to read through the snapshots of my life, subscribe, and even check out the services I offer. With so many freelance writers out there, finding the one that can best represent your mood, as well as your personality is a choice that can take some time. (Some might say it’s harder than finding a needle in a haystack..or even a four leaf clover.) As you will see, many of my services are offered at no charge. I do this because life is costly, and expensive and so few things are given away…a smile, a gentle handshake, a kind face. I do this because those things are sometimes too hard to find, and they shouldn’t be. I remember how they make me feel, and I want to extend that happy feeling to you, in the hopes that you will like what you read and share it with a friend.
Life is bumpy and the road we travel on is rough, but some things, some of the best things, are free. Drop me a line, say hello, kick back and enjoy.
Cheers, Chris

Letters to M

Just finished and soon to be hot off the presses, Letters to M, promises to deliver a one of a kind tale! In this “twisted memoir”, it is up to the reader to decide what is real and what is now…and what was, and what may be just a dream. It is written as a memoir, but with periodic letters to M. M is a mystery, and remains so, always. He may exist or may not, but it is clear that the letters are written to an old friend, a trusted soul, and maybe even a higher power.
I invite you to pull up a comfortable chair and enjoy my tale, all of which I can promise, happened to one degree or another, at one time or another….in some fashion. And while I have changed the names of some, and left out names of those who need not be named, I tell all. I make no excuses and open the closet door to let the skeletons fall where they may.
The forward is written by New York Times best selling author, Malachy McCourt. I welcome you all to visit him online as well, and read up on his life tales, travels, and tough life lessons learned.
“….In the downstairs den, he had secretly opened the locked medicine box and took out all but four pills. He took the pills, and his own life, in the silence of the big house. There would never be an explanation that made sense, or one that anyone accepted with great certainty, but it was certain, and final. In the eerie silence, on a cold February night, he left us forever. He left us wondering, and that changed our lives forever.”

“Dear Teacher,
You asked us today if we had one wish what would it be?
While I have so many, and none at the same time, I wondered long and hard about what I would choose.
While I was thinking, and working, I heard you talking.
You didn’t see me see you, or hear you, but I was there.
I heard you say “those” and “them” and I felt sad,
for you….….I choose to be not judged by the color of my skin but by the content of my character.
You taught me that phrase, and I was listening,
for both of us.Sincerely,
a 6th grader”
